Life Still Has Its Challenges
My wife and I began our journey through the Master Keys 9 months ago with a group of people dedicated to changing their lives. Through the entire course they touted things like “you will get out what you put into it” and “6 months from now where will you be if you sign up and where will you be if you don’t?” Obviously as far as the time thing goes you will be in the same place if you continue to do the same thing, right? Well we did something different and signed up for this pay-it-forward scholarship meaning it cost us nothing except the $1 to enroll, and doing the work that was required. Here I am after it is all said and done and I can honestly say on the surface not a lot has changed, life still has it’s challenges, but now my perception of everything has shifted dramatically. It has been said that there are people filled with love and there are people filled with hate, fear, doubt, etc. they all live in the same world. It’s their perception of it that makes the difference. This is a great example of the extreme possibilities of where you might be, and the change I have experienced through this course. What changes is you and your perception of things and the best part is you choose what you want to change. I saw an email with some jokes recently and it had the perfect illustration of this concept.
A little girl, dressed in her Sunday best, was running as fast as she could, trying not to be late for Bible class. As she ran she prayed, ‘Dear Lord, please don’t let me be late! Dear Lord, please don’t let me be late!’
While she was running and praying, she tripped on a curb and fell, getting her clothes dirty and tearing her dress. She got up, brushed herself off, and started running again!
As she ran she once again began to pray, ‘Dear Lord, please don’t let me be late…But please don’t shove me either!’
The simple concept I got out of this which is so obvious now is to take responsibility for everything in your life. The only way for you to change things in your life are for you to step up, take responsibility for the fact that they are in your life and if you don’t like it make a change. One last quote, because it popped into my head, this one from Steve Jobs “If today were the last day of my life, would I want to do what I am about to do today?’ And whenever the answer has been ‘No’ for too many days in a row, I know I need to change something.” Powerful words but words that are still upfront on my mind. As such I have committed to helping others make the change I have made and signed up to be a guide for the MKMMA course. It’s free to get on the mail list, you get a free taste in the gift “7 days to a new you” and you can opt out anytime if it isn’t for you. There really is nothing to loose except the time you loose keeping on the same course you have been on.
